2025-09-30
Peggy Zeybrandt Cumming – ESBE’s new Quality and Environmental Manager
Before Peggy came to ESBE, she has had a couple of different positions within quality and environmental work. Amongst other, at a plastic manufacturer and at a company creating assistive devices for the physically impaired. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of how to create a sustainable and quality-assured business.
- I am a happy person, who is curious of live and have a few items left on my bucket list. For me, it is important to constantly be in motion. During this past summer vacation, me and my husband rode our motorcycles all the way up to Lofoten. We were lucky enough to experience this beautiful place in full sun, since the sun went down at 01.30 am, just to rise again only 40 minutes later. The rest of the vacation was spent relaxing with family and friends, and I also took the time to listen to all 58 episodes of the Swedish radio show Sommar i P1.
Peggy believes that her previous knowledge and experiences will make quality thinking a part of the backbone of all ESBE employees. Then she believes that we can come together to work towards our goals and benefit from all the skills and previous learnings that everyone at ESBE has.
Why did you choose to join ESBE?
- I am driven by being able to create improvements in everyday life and to help others develop. I believe that my analytical and structural skills are very helpful in my role here at ESBE. I also enjoy working with people, which is important for being able to make improvements.
Her opinion is that it is important to be able to go from words to acts, especially in an era where sustainability is an ever-growing subject for both customer and the society.
- I believe our customers choose ESBE because we have reliable products and can offer great flexibility. As a privately owned company, we can be at the forefront of climate and environmental issues. This means that we must also put our words into action and deliver products that are sustainable, both for the customer and the environment.
Stefan Gustafsson – ESBE’s new Research and Development Manager
Stefan joined ESBE at the start of 2025, before coming here he was the CEO for Cotec Labs which is a global test centre owned by the Proton Group. He has his beginnings as a mechanical engineer and has a passionate interest in technology. When he saw the job at ESBE, he saw it as an opportunity to go back to his roots in product development and R&D.
- I am a happy, driven and energetic person with my roots in Bruzaholm just outside of Eksjö. But after high school I moved to Jönköping to study mechanical engineering and after my studies I stayed in Jönköping. I believe that my drive, my ability to easily see solutions and the I work efficiently are my strongest qualities in my role as R&D Manager her at ESBE. When I’m not a drive R&D Manager, I enjoy being out in nature. During this summer I spent some time at my holiday cottage and to look over my forest properties.
Why did you choose to join ESBE?
- As I previously mentioned I saw it as an opportunity to get back to my roots in product development. Also, I had heard a lot of good things about ESBE, which obviously made me more interested. ESBE is a strong brand that represents quality and service, which I am happy to represent. As a workplace, ESBE is a fantastic company with a strong community and an incredible commitment that I have not experienced at a workplace before.
Stefan predicts the future at ESBE to offer both fun tasks and challenges, and he is very much looking forward to working with the team at ESBE Technology Centre and take the company forward.
- I can see that there is a chance for me to influence the business here, both through new business opportunities and by which products we develop. The freedom or combination of working on improvements and development, while having a dialogue with external customers and OEM’s, makes the job very enjoyable.
Peggy and Stefan share a passion for nature and are in complete agreement that nothing beats a moment outdoors. This unity also reflects on their roles at ESBE, where they are touchingly united about what drives the company’s success: strong quality and innovation.
