ESBE WELCOMES NEW FRIENDS FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM

2024-10-15

This summer ESBE exhibited at the Installer Show in Birmingham, UK. During the show, we held a treasure hunt with Richard Burrows from Mid Wales Plumbing and Heating Supplies (MWPHS). ESBE's contribution to the prize pot was a trip to Reftele and a two-day visit to ESBE headquarters.

Along with Richard Burrows from MWPHS and our own Darren Myers, seven excited and happy winners stepped off the plane at Landvetter Airport on Sunday 29th September. The group consisted of Andrew Riley, Daniel Bryant, Daniel Robinson, Dominic Eves, Terence Lambert, Kimbo Betty and Russel Harris. Their common denominator is that they all work or have worked as HVAC installers and have shown a keen interest in ESBE and our products, particularly for use in heat pump installations.
Richard Burrow, Dominic Eves and Kimbo Betty are actively working in the UK market to train and develop installers who want to move more towards heat pump installations. They often emphasise the benefits of using a VRG131 in conjunction with an ARA 2-point to split heating and hot water in the installation. So what could be better than a visit to us and hearing first-hand from ESBE's Product Management team how our products work.

Day one – ESBE history lesson and product training

After an overnight stay in Värnamo, an excited group arrived at the ESBE factory, eager to learn more about ESBE and our product range.
”I want to educate myself a bit better on ESBE products to be able to use them more in the near future, if not ongoing.”, says Daniel Bryant when asked about his expectations.
Together with the Marketing Department, the journey through ESBE's historical heritage and our way of working began. The group thought of ESBE as a very friendly and genuine company with good values and high quality. In the afternoon, it was the product managers' turn to deepen the installers knowledge of our range and how they can use our products. After a long day, packed with information the group headed back to Värnamo for some well-deserved sleep before the equally intense day two.

Day two – Podcast, factory tour and (even more) product training

Early on Tuesday morning, Dominic Eves and Darren Myer were at the factory a bit earlier than the rest of the group for an important assignment. Dominic runs the Green Pod Energy podcast where he meets with industry experts to talk about renewable energy and how homeowners can heat their homes efficiently.
The experts in the latest episode were none other than ESBE’s Darren Myers and Henrik Hallberg, invited to talk about the challenges facing the industry today. And what a success it was! If you’re curious to listen to the podcast you can do so here! 👉

Once the podcast was recorded, it was time for the factory tour and just as we had anticipated it was a much-appreciated moment where our installers were given even more insight and understanding of how our products are made and how they work.
”I really liked the factory tour! To get to see the valves being stamped out and all the staff on the assembly lines putting the products together. It makes you appreciate what goes into the making of the ESBE product range.”, says Richard Burrows. Here you can see for yourself how our valves are made.

The afternoon was devoted to more product training and our visitors sat with eyes and ears wide open to absorb as much as possible of what the product managers had to say. We received many positive words about how rewarding the training was and how surprisingly wide our product range is - both model range and flexibility.
”I was fascinated by the bivalent valves (VRB140 & VRB240) and the amount of use they could have. You could just use various controllers, and they would pick up each controller, so for me that is a great way to save time on an installation.”, Dominic Eves tells us after the training session is finished.
Ending
For us, it is always rewarding when we receive visitors to the factory in Reftele. This time is no exception. After two intense days of knowledge sharing, new ideas and re-energising, we would like to say a big thank you to our visitors! We look forward to more successful collaborations in the future.
