THE DIVERTING VALVE SERIES VZD IS KRYSTIAN’S FAVORITE PRODUCT

Krystian Skaja lives by himself in an apartment that’s heated by district heating produced in the city’s CHP cogeneration plant. We asked him if he would like to reveal which of ESBE’s products is his favorite – but first some energy saving tips.
Do you have any energy saving tips to share?
I think it’s important to match the energy sources according to your energy needs. Replace outdated energy sources with new energy efficient ones. For example, you save energy if you replace all light bulbs with LED lighting. Another thing is to use the energy when it is really needed, so turn off lights when you are not in the room, turn off the TV when you are no longer watching and so on.
Which ESBE product is your favorite?
My favorite product is the VZD diverting valve .
Tell us more about it, what kind of product is it?
VZD is a compact diverting valve with an integrated actuator.
What is so good about this product?
The valve is equipped with a 2-point signal control that provides a very change-over (approx. 3 seconds) between two circuits. In addition, the VZD series has a built-in function for automatic valve movement after 7 days and nights of non-operation.
Do you have any good tips/areas of use where the product is suitable?
Thanks to the valve’s fast change-over time, the series VZD will be able to be used where a quick change of medium flow from one source to another is needed.
Due to the ongoing energy transition in Europe regarding heat sources, VZD valves are ideal for use with both heat pumps and underfloor heating.
One of the words in ESBE's core values is energy saving, what does that mean to you?
For me, it’s important to think more broadly. We are currently in an expansive period where the development of new technology, especially in the renewable energy sector, is affected by the energy transition. For the users, high comfort is perhaps the most important thing, but I think combining comfort and energy saving with environmental considerations is something to strive for.
The valves in the VZD series are developed for new technology while contributing to a more environmentally friendly world because they work together with heat pumps.
