The ESBE series VTN200 is a perfect range of safety valves for mono bloc heat pumps that produces both heating and cooling. The ambient temperature sensor ensures that even if the media temperature drops below 3 °C during warm weather (when there is not risk for freezing damages on the system) the VTN200 stays closed, making sure that the system is not drained when it is not required. But during cold weather (below 6°C ambient temperature), the VTN200 will evacuate water in the same way as our VTN100. This means that in case of a power outage during cold weather, the heat pump and plate heat exchanger should not freeze and break. When the media temperature drops below 3°C and outdoor temperatures are below 6°C, the valve starts evacuating water allowing warmer water to reach the valve, as it closes again at a media temperature of 4°C.
