LISON COQUELLE, WITH PASSION FOR MOTORBIKES AND BUSINESS
2024-12-09
Lison, how did you find your way to ESBE?
- A bit by chance on a job search site. I was first interested to become a traveling salesperson because I like contact with people and the idea of traveling regularly. Finally, I came across an ESBE offer. Intrigued, I applied and to my surprise I was selected. Since then, I discover this sector a little more every day and I flourish in this role.
Lison's entrepreneurial journey began with a BTS in Commercial Unit Management. This springboard launched her into the exciting world of business, where she founded and operated a thriving nail salon for six years. However, the pandemic presented new challenges, prompting her to pivot and seek fresh adventures.
Describe your role as Technical Merchandiser.
- Concretely, I travel to visit our customers, who are mainly installers and distributors in the north of France and Belgium. I provide them with technical support explaining the characteristics of our products so that they can get the most out of them.
In addition, I am responsible for ensuring that our products are well stocked and highlighted in the points of sale. In short, I am the direct link between ESBE and our customers, ensuring that our products perfectly meet their needs while representing the brand image on the ground.
Every day brings a new adventure for Lison, as her work is heavily influenced by the specific customers and sectors she interacts with. Her role involves a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
● Product Presentations: Showcasing products to potential customers.
● Customer Prospecting: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
● Technical Assistance: Providing support and troubleshooting for customers.
● Stock Negotiation: Discussing and agreeing upon stock levels and terms.
Beyond the technical aspects, Lison must also carefully plan and manage her travel schedule to meet the demands of her itinerary. Additionally, she juggles a constant stream of emails, calls, and meetings.
To top it all off, unforeseen events frequently arise, adding an element of surprise and excitement to each day.
It sounds like you have a busy schedule! Your workdays are undoubtedly full of activity and challenges!
- Yes, some days are like a roller coaster: it goes up, it goes down, and it shakes a little! There are days when everything seems complicated and others when everything runs smoothly. When a day gets a little too difficult, just smile, call a colleague, take a deep breath and remind yourself that the next meeting will be better and might bring an even better coffee!
But Lison is also letting us know that there are many funny situations! Between "Lison's little blunders" like spilling coffee or tripping over a cable and the fact of being a woman in a rather masculine world, there is often laughter!
- A day without laughter is a day lost even when the days do not go as planned, keeping smiling and knowing how to laugh at yourself makes work more enjoyable, she says.
A particularly funny memory is when in a seminar with the Italian team we all sang together, and with the heart "Gigi l'Amorosso" a festival of good humor!

Whats your favourite product Lison?
- Without a doubt the range of DN20 circulation units >>
Its values are remarkably compact, making them ideal for installations where space is limited, and they offer impressive performance despite their small size!
How would you describe the corporate culture at ESBE?
It values innovation, quality and the durability of its products while offering a friendly environment where the well-being of employees is important. Working as an ESBE employer has advantages such as flexibility, open-mindedness, and accessibility. However, in everyday work these distinctions do not change professional exchanges.
Passion!
Lison is a real live wire; she can't stay still! Passionate about motorbikes, she rides a Honda CB1000 and loves exploring new horizons whether on the road or underground by exploring underground passages.
- Lately my energy is mainly focused on the renovation of my house, a project that I am leading alone but between the tools and the laughs with friends who come to give me a hand I continue to bite life to the fullest, says Lison.
We asked Lison what her dream job would be if she could choose anything from astronaut to president.
- Imagine getting paid to travel and explore on a motorcycle. Picture creating custom road trip itineraries, discovering new places, and testing out winding roads. The hardest part of the job would be choosing between sun-drenched beaches, scenic hikes, or thrilling motorcycle rides. Sounds like a dream, doesn't it?
Yes, and it sounds like a job for you - but let's hope you stay with us and fulfill some of these dreams while still joining ESBE!
Thank you for letting us get to know you a little bit, Lison!
