Maria Bard is one of ESBE’s product managers, and just like ESBE she is born and raised in Reftele. After a few years of studies and travelling both in Sweden and abroad, Maria went back to her roots. She now lives in a house from the 1950s in Reftele with her husband, and their three daughters. We came to talk about the house that the Bard family lives in, and in true ESBE fashion Maria tells us about the heating system they have installed:
“We have a heat pump from IVT that is controlled by both outdoor and indoor temperature. We also have a cassette insert in our fireplace which gives a nice heat. But we mostly use the fireplace for the cosiness factor.”

When talking about the subject of living and housing, we also took the opportunity to ask Maria about her own thoughts on heating. As a product manager at ESBE, she’s pretty knowledgeable on the subject. Why should you get a combined weather/indoor compensated circulation unit?

By using data from both weather and indoor sensors, you can make sure that your house is heated more accurately and efficiently. For example, there’s a cold, but sunny, winter’s day and the sun shines through your window and heats up your home, and you have a system that only reads the outdoor temperature. In this scenario, the system will not be able to compensate for the heating given by the sun and your indoor temperature will most likely get unnecessarily high. Which would be very wasteful. 
If we add an indoor sensor, to get a reading from both indoor and outdoor temperatures, we give the circulation units controller more data to accurately adjust the temperature in your home. This way you make sure that the system keeps a more even and comfortable temperature, and more importantly doesn’t use unnecessary energy resources.
