For 30 years, ESBE has been sponsoring Gislaved Volleyball Club. We decided to find out what it means for the team.

Gislaved is a town in southwestern Sweden with over 10,000 inhabitants. The town is about a 20-minute drive from ESBE and Reftele. We decided to learn more about the 30-year partnership with Gislaved Volleyball Club (GVK) and arranged a meeting with Bo Hallberg, sponsorship manager.
ESBE has been an active part of GVK since the early 1990s. The club is a pure women’s club consisting of approximately 150 active players divided into eight training groups. Since 2010, GVK has been playing in Sweden’s premier league, and they have reached the national championship playoffs several times.
We consider it a privilege to be involved in a team’s successes. As a company, we have a unique opportunity to give back to the people around us. If our commitment can make a difference, then we’ve done it right. Bo Hallberg knows how important we and other companies are to local sports teams:
“A women’s team in the premier league wouldn’t exist without them (the sponsors) supporting it so well. It’s as simple as that.”
Listen to Bo and premier league player Elin Fredriksson share more about their thoughts on GVK.
