ESBE SUPPORTS SCHOOL YOUTH

2023-05-23

Is there anything more glorious than youthful entrepreneurial spirit? ESBE’s doors are always open for collaboration with schools and students.

At ESBE, we have a long and enriching collaboration with schools. We commit ourselves wholeheartedly to the development of future generations all the way from primary school up to upper secondary school, vocational education, and colleges/universities. Most recently we were awarded, through sales manager Jörgen Thelin, the honorable task of acting as an advisor to the young enterprise company FootballFood.

We asked the young entrepreneurs some questions.

How did the idea for a cookbook with footballers come about?
We were inspired by a similar concept a few years ago when a young enterprise company nearby made a cookbook with an ice hockey team in the top league. Recently, one of our city’s football teams was promoted to Sweden’s highest league and we liked the idea of a cookbook. We contacted IFK Värnamo (the football team) and they approved that we could use their players. Then we founded FootballFood UF.

Who appreciates your cookbook?
In addition to the cookbook containing interesting recipes, we also offer facts about the players. When you buy the cookbook, you of course get delicious recipes, but you also get a memory of the team members in IFK Värnamo 2022-2023.
Cooking has a broad target group, just like football, and what is better than combining these? FootballFood is a perfect gift for many people. It is locally produced, presents the team players and it contains many easy-to-cook recipes.

What are your plans for your young enterprise company – will it live on when you start third year in high school?
We are in the second year of the economics program and have not progressed that far in our planning. We haven’t really decided how to do, but we see a good development potential in continuing the same project. Both for more sports and more seasons of IFK Värnamo.

How did you get in touch with ESBE?
Young enterprise entrepreneurs must have an adviser and our contacts with Jörgen Thelin, sales manager at ESBE AB, have meant a lot of help with sales. We have received many tips about how we can both increase and make sales more efficient. Before the young enterprise fair, we got to borrow lighting from ESBE and we also had help from their in-house department who made a video that presents the book in a nice way.

Finally, what are your future plans and what do you dream of working with?

Albin
After high school, I have many different conceivable options. As I’m a sports person, studies in combination with sports are a priority. More precisely, I do swimming, which requires many hours of training a week, so my choice will partly be based on that. Whether it’s studies in Sweden or college in the USA, I will try to continue my entrepreneurial journey on the side as I have already started to envision new ideas.
I dream of creating my own successful company where I can do something good for myself and leave a good impression on our future.

Signe
After high school I want to do a variety of things. I want to travel, work and do a season in the Swedish alps as I love to ski. As a financial manager, I have learned a lot about finance and almost fell in love with it as a profession. About a year after graduation, I would like to start studying again and then study economics, exactly what I want to become remains to be seen.
The dream is to work with something I love, of course – right now I want to become an economist and start a company within that niche. I like freedom and I want to be able to control my own working day.

Jacob
After high school, I want to study further. I will maybe work before further studies, but I will study. I have been thinking of the USA or a big city in Sweden for my studies. I’m interested in sports, finance and design and would like to continue doing so in the future.
I have always dreamed of working as a real estate agent in a big city and that’s the professional role I strive for. I could also imagine working as a designer or architect.

Victor
I’m in a elite program on the sport of golf, which requires a lot of time and which will also affect my choice of further studies. I share Albin’s plans – studies in Sweden or college in the USA and on the side I will try to continue my entrepreneurial journey which already contains new ideas.
Albin and I share the same dream; to work with my own successful company where I can do good for myself but also leave a good impression on our future.

Best of luck with everything, the team at ESBE greets you.
