This award recognizes companies who demonstrate exceptional leadership and commitment to driving profitable growth. They have a deliberate approach to build strong teams and invest in the future development of their talent”, says Maria Groschopp Dellwik, responsible strategy and business development at Nasdaq Global Listings in Stockholm.
Best Managed Companies is a quality award recognizing the overall success of private Swedish companies based on strategic direction, ability to execute, corporate culture and financial performance. Best Managed Companies was established in Canada in 1993 and has since then been introduced in more than 20 countries around the world. Sweden’s Best Managed Companies was launched in 2018 by Deloitte in cooperation with Nasdaq. This is the fourth year of the award. An independent jury has selected the 20 companies that received this year's award.
How does it feel to receive the award for the third time? We asked ESBE’s cheering CEO and Group CEO, Peter Cerny.
“Great fun! It’s been an intense year with strong growth, and it has been challenging to keep up with the high growth rate we have. Our employees have done a tremendous job at all levels.”
Many companies have found it difficult to develop their operations during the global pandemic. How has ESBE succeeded in reaping new successes?
“We are well positioned with products in sustainable energy, and it’s an area that is growing strongly at the same time as we have managed to get new customers and projects during the year.”
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won the Swedish Golden Ball Award eleven times. When he won his third Golden Ball Award, he said: “A big thank you, now it feels like I have ended up in the history books for real”. What will be your quote?
“Leading ESBE is a team effort, everyone in the team has contributed to our success. Without team effort this recognition would not have been possible, so I want to say a big thank you to all employees.”
How are you going to celebrate your hat trick? Any plans?
“We usually celebrate our success with the whole company feasting on a festive sandwich cake (Swedish ‘smörgåstårta’) and it will be the plan this time too!”
