ESBE ACHIEVES FIFTH CONSECUTIVE BMC AWARD

2024-05-31

Last year, we achieved the prestigious Golden Status, marking several years in a row of BMC awards since 2020. Winning the award for the fifth time means that ESBE becomes a so-called "Gold Member x2".

For the fifth year in a row, ESBE has been named one of Sweden's best managed companies. ESBE thus confirms its pursuit of top quality by once again winning the Sweden's Best Managed Companies award.

What is Sweden's Best Managed Companies?

The Best Managed Companies Awards is a prestigious award that celebrates outstanding achievements by Swedish private companies. It evaluates their overall success based on factors such as strategic direction, operational capacity, corporate culture, and financial performance. The program was founded by Deloitte in Canada in 1993 and has since been established in over 20 countries around the world.
Winning the award for the fifth time means that ESBE becomes a so-called "Gold Member x2".
The achievement was celebrated at the official awards ceremony held in Stockholm at the Old National Archives on Riddarholmen on May 30. Peter Cerny, our CEO at ESBE, was on hand to receive the award.

ESBE ACHIEVES FIFTH CONSECUTIVE BMC AWARD

Peter, what is it about ESBE that drives its commitment to the future?

ESBE values long-term thinking, proactivity, and transparency. We have a strong corporate culture characterized by passion and commitment, where the customer's best interests always come first. We believe in growth and show our strength in both good and challenging times, always ready to support society and our customers, says Peter.

How is ESBE meeting the challenges of today's turbulent world?

ESBE works long-term and has built a solid foundation in the company over a long period of time, which means that we do not need to take drastic measures immediately when times are turbulent. Over the past year, ESBE has worked purposefully to counteract the sharp swings in demand. Despite a slowdown in the market, ESBE can look back on another full year in which we have achieved a new all-time high in terms of turnover and profit.
We are still convinced that there is future growth potential for ESBE's products and we see that a large number of valves and actuators will be needed in the future for the transition to a fossil-free society to become a reality around Europe.

Also on hand in Stockholm to receive the award and celebrate were Ylva Carlsson, HR Manager, Henrik Bäckman, Development Manager, Maria Catoni, CFO, Stefan Johansson, Supply Manager  and Jörgen Thelin, Sales Manager.

Peter, what makes the award prestigious to receive even for the fifth time?

The award is a testament to the fact that we are constantly working to improve ourselves in all areas. It is important not to stop developing, but to continuously develop the company. ESBE is a fantastically well-run company at its core, the challenge is to make something that is already really good even better. That we have succeeded in doing this for five years in a row makes it extra prestigious for ESBE, says Peter.

How was the party?

What a fantastic event! The atmosphere was great among all the participants and was also framed by a fantastic location and historical place, says Ylva and Peter agrees.

A very successful event by Deloitte! It is so fun and stimulating to meet all the "Best Managed Companies in Sweden" and to share the joy of receiving the award together with all the successful companies.

Will there be a celebration at home, in Reftele?

Absolutely, says a smiling Ylva! I really want to dedicate this award to all our fantastic employees who constantly exceed expectations and grow with us. We will celebrate the award at home in Reftele by treating everyone to a well-deserved  Smörgåstårta*!
*Smörgåstårta ("sandwich-cake" or "sandwich-torte") is a dish of Swedish origin. It is not a sweet cake, but composed of layers of bread bound with large amounts of filling and garnish, similar to a layered cream cake. The smörgåstårta is often sliced and served at special occasions.
